Quartermaster
Quartermaster duties
The patrol Quartermaster keeps the patrol's gear ready for the next outing. After every campout:
- Dry the tents. Set them up or hang them to dry at home within a day or two. Never store a tent wet.
- Clean the coolers and water jugs. Wash, rinse and leave them open to air-dry.
- Dry and fold the tarps, and shake out ground cloths.
- Count the patrol box with the Quartermaster Inventory form before it's closed, and add LOW or OUT staples to the shopping list.
- Return borrowed items. Log anything going home on the Gear Sign-Out Sheet, and bring it back by the due date.
- Report damage or missing gear to the troop Quartermaster or a leader right away, so it can be fixed before the next trip.
The physical binder lives in the patrol box in the trailer, or with the Quartermaster.
